About Livable advanced la
Who We Are
Livable Advanced LA is a civic reform group founded in Hollywood and driven by young people who believe Los Angeles can work again. We focus on improving life for working people, protecting the future for young people, and cutting out the corruption and stagnation that hold the city back. Our mission is to build a Los Angeles that is affordable, honest, dynamic, and capable of meeting the moment.
We believe LA has more potential than any major city on Earth. But for over 100 years, outdated structures and broken rules have kept us from rising to that potential. The systems that run the city were literally built a century ago, only slightly modified in 1999. They are slow, confusing, and exploitable by political games. That hurts everyone, especially working families and young Angelenos trying to stay here.
We created Livable Advanced LA to fix that.
What We Stand For
A city that works for working people
Everyone deserves clean streets, reliable transit, safe neighborhoods, and a local government that actually responds when something goes wrong.
A future young people can count on
Young Angelenos should not have to leave the city they love just to afford a stable life. We fight for more housing, more opportunity, and a government that invests in the long term.
A real end to corruption
Los Angeles needs clear rules, strong checks, and less backroom power. We push for transparency, accountability, and structures that make corruption harder to pull off in the first place.
A cultural shift through density and vertical growth
Los Angeles thrives when its urban centers thrive. We support a city built upward and inward with more homes, more energy, more culture, and more community life in places like downtown, Hollywood, and our many growing cores. Walkability is the future we want.
What We Do
We build and promote structural solutions that change how LA works at its core:
• modern governance and fair council expansion
• stronger executive authority so basic services function
• streamlined planning that finally allows real housing and real vertical growth
• better hiring so the city has enough frontline workers
• long-term capital planning and infrastructure coordination
• pro-density, pro-urban policy that supports cultural life
And we created a growing 30-point charter reform framework that outlines specific changes the city can adopt to work better for everyone.
Our Belief
Los Angeles is not broken beyond repair. It is stuck inside an old system. If we fix the rules, we can unlock the city that millions of people know is possible — a city with opportunity, culture, upward mobility, and community life for all.
We know how to change the rules. And we know the people of Los Angeles are ready for a city that finally works.
